British Airways has launched two new premium airport lounges as part of its £7 billion transformation project, located at Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Miami International Airport (MIA). These facilities are designed to offer an elevated experience for the airline's premium customers, blending modern British design with local cultural inspirations. The Dubai lounge, spanning nearly 5,800 square feet in Terminal 1, exemplifies this approach with Middle Eastern-inspired aesthetics.

The Dubai lounge boasts a full-service bar, world-class food, and designs incorporating sweeping arches, patterned metal panelling, and locally sourced geometric tiles in washrooms. Access is granted to British Airways' Club World and First passengers, British Airways Club members with Silver status and above, and oneworld customers with Sapphire status and above. A standout feature is the private "million-dollar door" providing direct access to the exclusive Concorde Room and Concorde Dining Room for First class and Gold Guest List passengers.

Dining options include a dedicated self-serving area with Arabic breakfast, mezze, and a cheeseboard, alongside an à la carte menu featuring Middle Eastern signature dishes like Arabic mezze and Umm Ali, as well as international favourites such as a Concorde Wagyu burger. Beverages include champagnes, crafted cocktails like the Dubai chocolate martini, Coffee Planet's premium Arabica beans, and Birchall teas. The Miami lounge mirrors these premium offerings, featuring full-service bars and menus that combine local ingredients with a British twist, alongside its own exclusive Concorde Dining Room.

These new openings are part of British Airways' significant recent investment in its global lounge network, which has also seen refreshes at locations including London Gatwick, Lagos, Singapore, Seattle, and Washington Dulles. Gensler, the design firm, highlighted the lounges' hospitality-driven approach, blending British Airways' heritage with the vibrant local cultures to create welcoming and intuitive spaces for travelers.
