Emirates unveils new First Class amenities: Is this the best sleep in the sky?
Key Points
- 1New First Class loungewear is made from super-soft, temperature-regulating modal fabric.
- 2Premium 300-thread-count cotton bed linen will be introduced starting in 2026.
- 3The A380 Shower Spa experience is enhanced with a new VOYA luxury skincare collection.
- 4Additional upgrades include custom-tuned Bowers & Wilkins E2 headphones and new crystal-cut glassware.
Emirates is significantly upgrading its First Class passenger experience. The enhancements focus on improving comfort and sleep quality onboard. This suite of changes began rolling out in December 2025. Further updates are scheduled to continue into early 2026.
Elevated Onboard Comfort
The airline introduced a new luxury loungewear collection. This replaces the previous Hydra Active moisturising pyjamas. The new two-piece set is crafted from super-soft modal fabric. This premium material uses traceable botanic fibers. These fibers are sourced from sustainably grown beech trees. The fabric is breathable and temperature-regulating. This makes it ideal for fluctuating cabin temperatures.
Key details of the new loungewear:
- Women's sets come in soft blush pink and light grey.
- Men's sets feature a sophisticated two-tone grey palette.
- Each set includes matching slippers and an ultra-soft eye mask.
These new amenity kits are available to customers on select long-haul flights.
Premium Bedding and Turndown Service
Starting in 2026, Emirates will enhance its sleeping surfaces. The airline is introducing premium 300-thread-count cotton bed linen. This includes new pillows, duvet covers, and mattress covers. The refined turndown service continues to mimic a five-star hotel. Cabin crew prepare the suites with crisp bedding. They include a BYREDO Chamomile Pillow Mist. Luxury chocolates from brands like Valrhona complete the service.
Wellness and Dining Upgrades
The iconic A380 Shower Spa refresh is also part of the upgrade. The spa now features new decor and an expanded product range. Emirates continues its partnership with luxury Irish skincare brand VOYA. Two new fragrance collections are now available. 'Tranquillity' features lavender and eucalyptus. 'Revitalise' offers honeysuckle and neroli. These products include shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and face wash.
Further enhancements are scheduled for early 2026. First Class passengers can look forward to new cut-crystal glassware. This will be used to serve spirits and cocktails. The audio experience is also being upgraded. New Bowers & Wilkins E2 headphones will be custom-tuned for the First Class suites. These headphones offer advanced noise cancellation.
This investment in the 'soft product' highlights the intense competition in luxury air travel. Airlines like Emirates, which operates large fleets of Airbus A380s and Boeing 777s, rely on service details. These amenities help differentiate the premium long-haul experience. This news is a key development for commercial aviation news enthusiasts. The focus on sustainable modal fabric also reflects a growing trend. Airlines are increasingly adopting eco-conscious materials for cabin products. For more updates on industry trends, visit the commercial aviation news hub at flying.flights.
