Brega Oil Marketing Company announced a substantial expansion of its aviation fuel depot at Mitiga Airport, significantly increasing its storage capacity. The facility, crucial for air operations in Tripoli, Libya, will see its capacity more than double from 360,000 litres to 760,000 litres. This strategic upgrade is set to bolster fuel supply and operational efficiency at the airport.

The expansion project involves the integration of four new 100,000-liter tanks specifically designed for aviation fuel storage. This addition is expected to enhance the flow of fuel supply, thereby increasing the overall operational capacity to effectively serve the growing air traffic at Mitiga Airport, which currently stands as Tripoli's sole operational international gateway.

Brega stated that this initiative aligns with its broader efforts to improve operational capabilities and develop its infrastructure across its network. The company's strategic direction emphasizes enhancing its depots, elevating safety and quality standards, and ensuring its facilities are fully prepared to meet modern operational requirements, ultimately improving the efficiency of services provided to the aviation sector.
