The core mission of Shankh Airlines is to make air travel accessible to the middle class and first-time flyers. Chairman Vishwakarma aims to change the perception that flying is a luxury. He stated that an aircraft should be viewed simply as a means of transport, like a bus or a tempo.
To support this goal of accessibility, the airline intends to maintain stable ticket prices. The chairman noted that prices would not be increased during peak festival seasons. However, the airline plans to price its business-class tickets higher than its competitors.

India is the world's fastest-growing domestic air traffic market and the third-largest civil aviation market globally. The market size was valued at USD 14.47 billion in 2024 and is projected to reach USD 40.81 billion by 2033, showing a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 12.21%. This rapid expansion provides a strong foundation for new entrants.
Low-cost carriers (LCCs) currently dominate the Indian market, accounting for approximately 70% of total airline capacity. Market leader IndiGo holds over half of the domestic market share. This intense competition means Shankh Airlines must execute its affordable travel strategy effectively.
Vishwakarma pointed to the aviation sector's strong cash flow as its biggest strength. He noted that the industry does not rely on a credit system like many other businesses. The airline is fully backed by its parent company, with aircraft acquired on lease and finance from external companies. The chairman confirmed there are no funding constraints for the launch.

Shankh Airlines has secured a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Ministry of Civil Aviation. The carrier is now in the final stages of the regulatory process. It awaits the Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) before commencing commercial operations. This final clearance is critical for the January launch timeline.
The launch is also expected to generate employment opportunities for youth. Vishwakarma encouraged young people to focus on personal growth. He shared his own background to inspire others, stating that a shift in mindset is key to moving ahead.
