Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is embarking on a significant international network expansion, with plans to introduce a new wave of direct routes across Europe, Africa, and the Americas starting in 2026. This strategic move aims to solidify Casablanca's position as a global aviation hub and strengthen Morocco's air connectivity. RAM CEO Hamid Addou highlighted that this expansion is a crucial phase in the airline's development plan, following the delivery of ten additional aircraft and the opening of nearly twenty international routes since 2023.
The expansion strategy focuses on reinforcing medium-haul services while extending long-haul capabilities, supported by the acquisition of new aircraft. Following earlier announcements for Casablanca-Saint Petersburg (January 2026) and Casablanca-Los Angeles (June 2026), RAM will introduce five new routes from Casablanca in April 2026: Pointe-Noire (Republic of Congo), Tripoli (Libya), Beirut (Lebanon), and Spanish cities Bilbao and Alicante. Further enhancing its Spanish network, a Casablanca-Palma service will commence in June 2026, complementing existing routes to Madrid, Barcelona, Malaga, Valencia, and Seville. Italy will also see increased capacity with a new Casablanca-Verona route from June 20, 2026, adding to services for Rome, Milan, Bologna, Naples, Catania, Turin, and Venice. In France, a Casablanca-Lille route will open in July 2026.
Beyond new destinations, Royal Air Maroc intends to boost frequencies on several existing long-haul routes, including São Paulo, Miami, Washington, and Dubai. These enhancements will be facilitated by new long-haul aircraft equipped with upgraded cabins, improved comfort, and advanced onboard connectivity. Tickets for all new routes are scheduled to go on sale from December 15, available through the airline's various sales channels. This comprehensive expansion underscores RAM's commitment to supporting tourism and economic development while continually improving the passenger experience.
