Spirit Airlines is commemorating two decades of service to Punta Cana (PUJ), Dominican Republic, a significant milestone for the low-cost carrier. To celebrate, Spirit is offering limited-time anniversary fares starting at $107 one way, including taxes and fees. These special fares must be booked between December 10 and December 21, 2025, for travel from January 13 through March 4, 2026, with some blackout dates applying.
Andrea Lusso, Vice President of Network Planning at Spirit Airlines, highlighted Punta Cana's enduring popularity within their network and thanked airport partners for their support. Spirit initially launched its Punta Cana service in 2005 and currently provides nonstop flights from Fort Lauderdale (FLL). The airline plans to increase its FLL-PUJ service to daily flights from December 18, 2025, through January 12, 2026, to accommodate holiday travel demand.
In conjunction with the anniversary, the Free Spirit loyalty program is providing members with bonus points. Travelers can earn 1,500 bonus points on round-trip flights and 750 bonus points on one-way flights to and from Punta Cana. To qualify, flights must be booked by December 17, 2025, and flown by January 15, 2026. New Free Spirit members also receive an additional 500 bonus points upon signing up. Furthermore, Spirit Vacations offers up to 30 percent off flight and hotel bundles for those planning their Dominican Republic trip.
