Telangana CM meets Aviation Minister to fast-track regional airport projects.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy met Union Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu in New Delhi on February 12, 2026. The high-level meeting focused on accelerating several regional aviation projects across the state.

Mamnoor and Kothagudem Progress

Reddy highlighted that land acquisition for Mamnoor Airport is now complete. He urged the central government to begin construction immediately. This project is a priority for the Warangal region.

For the proposed Kothagudem Airport, the Chief Minister requested an Obstacle Limitation Surfaces (OLS) survey. He also asked for a formal feasibility study. The state has already identified suitable land at Palvancha for this site.

Expanding Regional Footprint

The state is also moving forward with the Adilabad Airport project. Reddy informed the Minister that 249.82 acres of land are ready for handover. This expansion will support larger aircraft and more frequent flights.

Reddy also sought immediate clearances for Antaragam Airport. The state has identified an alternate site to meet safety standards. These efforts align with the Ministry of Civil Aviation goals for regional growth.

Industry and Economic Impact
