Texas-based Atlantic Aviation has significantly expanded its international footprint by completing the acquisition of Cedar Aviation Services, the sole fixed-base operator (FBO) at LF Wade International Airport (BDA) in Bermuda. The transaction immediately positions Atlantic Aviation as the exclusive provider of general aviation services at the airport, marking its 109th FBO location across North America, the Caribbean, and the Atlantic region. Atlantic Aviation plans to transition the Bermuda facility to its own brand over the next few months.
The acquisition aligns with Atlantic’s strategy to enhance its portfolio of island FBOs in key leisure and business destinations. Cedar Aviation’s facility, spanning 6,440 square feet, offers comprehensive services including customs and immigration assistance, concierge services, a pilot lounge, and an 11-seat conference room. Crucially for large aircraft operations, the leasehold includes more than 16 acres of ramp space designated for aircraft parking.
This purchase follows Atlantic Aviation’s recent aggressive expansion efforts. Earlier this month, the company acquired the former ExecuJet FBO at Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM) in St. Maarten. Furthermore, Atlantic expanded its presence in the US Southwest last month by purchasing Jet Center at Santa Fe, adding a third New Mexico location to its portfolio. Atlantic CEO Jeff Foland noted that Cedar Aviation’s service standards closely align with the company’s values, ensuring continuity of personalized care for crews and passengers.
