All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan's largest airline, has launched a new initiative in partnership with the Japan National Tourism Organisation (JNTO) to offer complimentary domestic flights within Japan. This program targets travelers arriving from the UK and Europe, encouraging them to explore lesser-known regions of the country and alleviate overtourism in popular destinations like Tokyo and Kyoto.
The offer provides passengers with two complimentary internal flights when they book an inbound international flight to Japan with ANA. The initiative is scheduled to run from November 24 until January 31, 2026, with the possibility of flights taking place outside this timeframe. ANA's extensive domestic network, covering over 40 locations across Japan including Fukuoka, Hokkaido, Nagasaki, and the Okinawa Islands, is fully included in this deal, providing ample choice for exploration.
Several conditions apply to this promotion. It is exclusively available to travelers originating from the UK or Europe, and the international flight into Japan must be booked directly with ANA. Participants will receive standard class flights and may be subject to additional tax and visa fees depending on their chosen destinations. A key benefit is the flexibility to start and finish domestic flights at different airports, enhancing the travel experience across Japan.
The airline's objective extends beyond simply attracting tourists; it aims to foster a deeper, more sustainable engagement with Japan’s culturally diverse regions. By making regional exploration genuinely affordable and easier, ANA and JNTO hope to redistribute tourist traffic and provide visitors with a more authentic and less crowded experience of the country.
