EgyptAir Maintenance & Engineering has achieved Airbus certification as an authorized provider of routine aircraft structural maintenance services. This accreditation, witnessed by EgyptAir Holding Company Chairman pilot Ahmed Adel at the Dubai Airshow 2025, positions EgyptAir as a key Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) partner for Airbus aircraft operators. The certification follows a comprehensive audit by Airbus in March 2025, validating EgyptAir's compliance with Airbus's stringent technical standards for quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
The agreement, signed by Eng. Ibrahim Fathy, Chairman & CEO of EgyptAir Maintenance & Engineering, and Gabriel Semelas, Head of Airbus for Africa and the Middle East, is valid for three years. This milestone reflects EgyptAir's strategic vision to enhance its maintenance services and strengthen aviation infrastructure across Africa. Pilot Adel emphasized that the partnership bolsters EgyptAir's competitive edge and underscores its commitment to meeting international standards in technical support for the region's growing Airbus fleet.
Eng. Ibrahim Fathy highlighted the pride of EgyptAir's team in achieving this certification. Gabriel Semelas of Airbus expressed his satisfaction in welcoming EgyptAir Maintenance & Engineering into the Airbus network as an authorized center for aircraft structural maintenance services in Africa. This collaboration is expected to improve the MRO infrastructure across the continent, ensuring faster and more efficient service for Airbus airline customers while adhering to the highest standards.
