Jet2, a prominent airline and tour operator, has announced a new direct route from Birmingham Airport (BHX) to Copenhagen, Denmark, for the Winter 2026/2027 Christmas market season. This marks the first time Jet2 will offer services to the Danish capital for festive breaks, providing travelers with a new European city destination.

The new service will feature two weekly flights, operating on Thursdays and Sundays. These flights are scheduled to commence on November 19, 2026, and continue through December 20, 2026, offering convenient options for weekend getaways. Copenhagen will join seven other European cities already on Jet2's Christmas markets roster, including Budapest, Cologne, Gdansk, Krakow, Prague, Tallinn, and Vienna, expanding the airline's festive offerings from November 2026 to January 2027.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, stated that the expansion directly responds to sustained customer demand for magical winter wonderlands across Europe. Al Titterington, Terminal Operations Director at Birmingham Airport, welcomed the new route, expressing confidence in its popularity given Copenhagen's appeal for festive exploration. Customers can book flight-only options with Jet2.com or ATOL-protected package holidays through Jet2CityBreaks.
