IndiGo Airlines has announced travel vouchers worth Rs 10,000 for passengers severely impacted by operational disruptions between December 3 and 5, 2025. The airline acknowledged that customers were stranded for many hours at various airports due to congestion. These vouchers are valid for 12 months and can be redeemed on any future IndiGo flight.
This compensation is supplementary to standard ticket refunds and the Rs 5,000–Rs 10,000 compensation mandated by the Indian government. IndiGo confirmed that most refunds have already been processed, with the remaining set to be cleared shortly. The widespread disruptions affected thousands of passengers nationwide, leading to numerous cancellations and delays, particularly impacting airports such as Jaiprakash Narayan Airport in Patna.
As one of India’s largest carriers, IndiGo has been progressively restoring its operations. However, over 100 flights remained cancelled on Thursday as the airline continued efforts to stabilize its schedule following the significant operational challenges.
